Young Lions target U21s Cup glory at Wolves

22 December 2015

Millwall in confident mood ahead of crunch clash

Justin Skinner takes his Millwall U21s team to face Wolves tonight determined to book a place in the League Cup Quarter Finals.

The young Lions are on the crest of a winning wave at the moment, and go into action at AFC Telford's New Bucks Stadium on the back of an impressive run of six straight wins.

"We have been lucky enough to play a pretty settled side and that has shown with a consistent level of performance," said Elite Development Squad manager Justin.

"We are confident going into this game because of our run, but we cannot afford to be over-confident because Wolves are going to be a tough team to beat.

"Our aim is to continue to do what we have been doing; keep our shape, our game plan and perform to the level that we know we can."

Included in tonight's squad are Paris Cowan-Hall, recalled from his loan spell at Bristol Rovers on Monday, and young winger Fred Onyedinma.

"These two, along with Kris Twardek will give us legs, a bit of pace and we'll have Alfie (Pavey) operating as a target man," added Justin. "On paper we've got a decent squad, but it is all about what we do out there on the pitch that matters and we will make sure that we are as focused and prepared for this game as possible."

Kick-Off at the New Bucks Head Stadium is 7pm tonight. Admission is £5 for adults, £3 concessions and £1 U16s.

Millwall squad: King, Girling, Romeo, Brown, Parr, Mbulu, Wood, Chesmain, Cowan-Hall, Farrell, Thompson, Twardek, Eze, Ndjoli, Donovan, Twardek, Onyedinma, Pavey.

Wolves squad: McCarey, Burgoyne, Upton, Deslandes, Hayden, Carter, Breslin, Weeks, Rainey, Kellermann, Ronan, Harris., Hunte, Armstrong, Bancessi, Wilson, Enobakhare.
