11 December 2015

Young Lions face away trip in the League Cup

Millwall have been drawn away to Wolverhampton Wanderers in the U21s League Cup - with a place in the Quarter Finals at stake for the winner of the tie.

The Lions and Wolves will lock horns at AFC Telford's New Bucks Head Stadium on Tuesday 22nd December with a 7pm kick-off.

Justin Skinner's charges booked their place in the last 16 of the competition with a superb 2-1 success at Swansea City in the last round when Mikael Ndjoli's dramatic  goal - his second of the game - secured victory in the final minute of extra-time.

As a result of Millwall's Cup exploits, the Development Squad League game at Ipswich originally scheduled for Monday 21st December has now moved back to Monday 25th April. A venue and kick-off time have yet to be confirmed.

The young Lions are next back in action this coming Monday, 14th December, when they make the relatively short trip to face Watford at St Albans City FC (7pm).
