Chopper compares Fred to former Lions greats after Southend display
Millwall manager Neil Harris has compared Fred Onyedinma to two ex-Lions stars after the winger's fantastic individual display in Monday's 4-0 win over Southend United.
The 19-year-old had a hand in two goals and scored one himself as The Lions returned to winning ways in emphatic fashion at Roots Hall.
And while Harris was full of praise for Onyedinma afterwards, the winger still has plenty of room for improvement, as the manager explains: "Fred is in the same mould as Paul Ifill and Steven Reid.
"He is a wide player who we ask to be exciting. He is going to give the ball away; we understand that and Fred understands that.
"It's my job and my coaches' job to make sure he retains the ball more often than not but Fred is brilliant.
"He wants to play every minute of every game and he has got a bright future with us."
