Justin Skinner: Consistency the key for Millwall U21s

Lions lock horns with Watford aiming to record seventh win in eight starts

Justin Skinner believes that consistency has been the key as Millwall U21s aim to continue their fine run against Watford at St Albans City FC tonight (7pm).

The young Lions have been in excellent form recently, winning seven of their last eight outings including a dramatic 2-1 League Cup win at Swansea City and 1-0 success over Brentford last week courtesy of a Lee Martin goal.

"We need to keep everyone's feet on the floor," said Elite Development Squad manager Justin, "The players have done well and been consistent. Our success so far has come by working hard, performing consistently and getting their heads down to do the job in hand.

"It is important that we try and maintain the standards that we have been setting and keep that level of consistency going."

One player who has returned to the U21s line-up recently has been goalkeeper Tom King, currently on-loan at Welling United.

"Tom has not really been playing for Welling in this little period," explained Justin. "With Harry Girling featuring for the U18s at the moment, this is a good opportunity for Tom to get some game time."

The same applies to midfielder Jimmy Abdou and striker Alfie Pavey too, who are both set to get some useful minutes under their belts having been unused subs for the first team recently.

Squad: King, Girling, Romeo, Wood, Chesmain, Mbulu, Twardek, Abdou, Farrell, Eze, Ndjoli, Pavey, Mulrooney-Skinner, Parr, Brown, Donovan.
