Millwall Lionesses host Arsenal
Millwall Lionesses return to action at The Den tomorrow when they take on Arsenal Ladies in a Continental Cup clash (2pm).
Lions season ticket holders will be admitted free of charge as Dan Mlinar's young side look to test themselves and measure their progress against an Arsenal side which is packed full of internationals and has been dominant in domestic women’s football over the past decade.
Mlinar has been developing some players who have come through the legendary Millwall Centre of Excellence, and they will face a tough task to qualify from their group and into the Quarter-Finals.
Skipper Dionne Lennon's experience at the back will be vital as ever, though it could be particularly important as the Lionesses have lost two key defenders to injury recently. Grace Fisk, however, may be back from England U17 duty.
Further forward, Fliss Gibbons, Ashlee Hincks and Rinsola Babajide will be hoping to cause the Arsenal defence a few problems, and in midfield Danielle Carter has recovered from the chest infection which hospitalised her after the match at Everton three weeks ago.
Sunday's match at The Den also provides the Lionesses with the opportunity to bounce back following the disappointing 6-0 midweek defeat at treble-chasing Chelsea Ladies
