Lions boss Harris' Sky Blue thinking

Chopper sees room for improvement as Millwall face Coventry test

Lions boss Neil Harris anticipates a tough test on Saturday when Coventry City visit The Den for Millwall's opening Sky Bet League One encounter of the new campaign.

Like The Lions, Tony Mowbray's Sky Blues suffered Capital One Cup defeat after extra-time in midweek, so both sides will be looking to put those disappointments behind them and continue the impressive form that saw them garner three points from their respective opening league fixtures.

Chopper said: "We were very good at Shrewsbury last Saturday and did well to win an extremely difficult opening fixture. There were also some good things in midweek in terms of the number of shots we had on goal and some of our attacking play. Equally there were some disappointing aspects which we need to improve and I'm expecting us to be better in those departments against Coventry.

This is the first of two home games against teams I anticipate will be amongst the strongest in this division and we will need to do better both defensively and in possession than we did on Tuesday if we are to achieve our aim of becoming a force once again at The Den and setting the tone for the rest of season."

The manager made four changes for the Barnet tie, and whilst Lee Gregory and Mark Beevers ultimately made appearances from the bench, both are likely to be in contetnion for starting places once again along with Shaun Cummings and David Forde.

With the visitors expected to bring a healthy following Millwall are expecting a 11,000 plus crowd for this encounter.

For those fans away on holiday or too far removed from The Den to make it along, former Lions favourite Terry Brisley will be joing the Lions PlayerHD team bringing you full 90 minutes commentary on the game.
