Millwall's penultimate training session ahead of the League One opener

There are less than 48 hours to go before Millwall kick-off the new season in a battle of the League One new-boys at Shrewsbury Town on Saturday (3pm).

Manager Neil Harris, his back-room team and the players have been working tirelessly throughout pre-season. The focus since the fixtures were announced on 17th June has been centred on getting the squad into tip-top shape for this coming weekend, when the proper business gets underway.

The players were put through the penultimate training session ahead of the new campaign at Calmont Road on Thursday.

It was an opportunity for new signing Steve Morison to reacquaint himself with some familiar faces such as skipper Tony Craig, goalkeeper David Forde, Jimmy Abdou and Ed Upson, while also meet up with new team-mates including Lee Gregory, Shaun Cummings and Jordan Archer.

A selection of photos from today's training session are included in our special gallery.
