Craig says Millwall need to "restore some pride" against Barnsley

17 August 2015

TC spells it out in his programme notes for Tuesday night's game at The Den

Millwall skipper Tony Craig says he and his team-mates must quickly learn from the mistakes they made during Saturday's 4-0 defeat to Coventry City.

The Lions conceded three goals within 18 first-half minutes before the visitors added a fourth late on.

But TC and the rest of the squad have a chance to quickly make amends with a result against Barnsley, who visit The Den on Tuesday night.

Speaking in his programme notes ahead of that game, the captain says: "As players we have to take responsibility for it and I can totally understand how the fans must have felt watching it.

"What is important for us now is to learn from what happened on Saturday as quickly as possible. Quite rightly we were all in on Sunday morning to assess what went wrong, and fortunately from our point of view we have an opportunity to put things right straight away.

"We will have to stick together as a group and show our determination to turn things round.

"It's down to us to man up and restore some pride by putting in a proper Millwall display against Barnsley."
