Watch the Football League Awards 2015 live this Sunday

17 April 2015

Fred and Danny short-listed

Millwall fans here and around the world can join in with the excitement of this year's Football League Awards, as we will be bringing you the live stream right here on the official Millwall website.

Millwall duo Fred Onyedinma and Danny Shittu are both on the Football League's shortlist for the Championship Apprentice of the Year and PFA Player in the Community Awards respectively.

Fred is joined by Lewis Cook (Leeds United) and Joe Gomez (Charlton Athletic) in his category, whilst Danny is up against Reading's Hope Akpan and Elliot Omozusi (Leyton Orient).

To keep an eye on proceedings, the live stream will commence at approximately 8.20pm this Sunday 19th April and run throughout the award ceremony. Visit www.millwallfc.co.uk on Sunday to be directed to the live video stream.

On the night, prizes will be awarded to the best players in each of the three divisions as well as in a host of categories honouring players, fans, community trusts and the unsung heroes at the heart of the Football League’s 72 clubs.

The ceremony at The Brewery in London is not only a celebration of the very best of The Football League, but also a celebration of ten years of The Football League Awards. The first ceremony was held on March 5, 2006, with future England defender Phil Jagielka among those honoured on the night.

Since then The Football League Awards has become firmly established as one of the most glittering occasions in the sporting calendar, a chance for the game to come together and recognise the fantastic achievements of Football League clubs and their players, both on and off the pitch.

To celebrate the tenth anniversary of The Football League Awards there will also be the announcement of the Football Manager Team of the Decade, recognising 11 outstanding players and one manager who have excelled in the competitions of The Football League during the last ten years.

Lions fans around the globe can follow the night’s excitement by watching the event live on website and by joining in the conversation on social media with the hashtag #FLAwards. Visit www.millwallfc.co.uk on Sunday to be directed to the live video stream.
