Neil Harris: We will all pull together

2 April 2015

Boss backs Lions fans to play a huge role in bid for survival

Neil Harris can think of no better time to record his first win as manager of his beloved Millwall than against local rivals Charlton this Friday.

"We came so close to doing it in the last game at Brentford," explained Chopper, "and afterwards I think everyone felt deflated coming away with just a draw.

"But on the Monday morning, the players all had a spring in their step again, we showed them the good and bad things to come out of that performance and we started to work towards the Charlton game.

"To be honest, it's been a bit frustrating having to wait so long for it to come around, but we're really looking forward to the game now, and I am sure the fans are too.

"This is the perfect game for us. It's one where we will all be pulling together - players, staff and supporters, desperate to get the three points which will really get us moving again.

"Charlton are going well, so of course this will be another big challenge, but I really feel, in spite of the position we're in, that we are on the up as a team.

"With the fans right behind us, as I know they will be, let's just see if we can go out there on Friday and prove it."
