Midfielder Jimmy looks ahead to crucial local derby
Jimmy Abdou believes that he and his Millwall team-mates now have "no time to waste" in their bid to secure Championship safety.
The Lions sit seven points from the safety zone going into Friday's visit of local rivals Charlton Athletic and with the number of matches left in 2014/15 fast running out, Jimmy has called on everyone at the club to unite as Millwall attempt a 'Great Escape' for a second consecutive season.
Speaking in Friday's edition of matchday programme The Lion, he says: "There is no time to waste now.
"We need the players on the pitch, the fans and everyone at the club to come together in the last run of games to help turn the home form around and get those important wins.
"Hopefully we can start that against a good team in Charlton. It's a big London derby and we have been working hard all week to help us towards getting the points we need."
The midfielder adds: "Charlton will be confident but we have nothing to lose now.
"Everyone knows how big a game it is but we just need to get some wins, whoever they come against.
"Every match is going to be a Final for us and this one is the same. There will be a big crowd and I'm sure it will be a good game of football.
"The fans are behind the manager and the players and we are trying really hard to turn it around for them."
