Midfielder looks ahead to playing in-form Forest
Martyn Woolford believes the Sky Bet Championship is a tougher League than ever before.
The Lions entertain early table-toppers Nottingham Forest at The Den on Saturday looking to bounce back from consecutive defeats for the first time in 2014/15 after the 3-2 reverse against Reading on Tuesday night.
Forest sit top of the division after a 5-3 win over Fulham on Wednesday with in-form summer signing Britt Assombalonga grabbing the headlines after an impressive hat-trick. Martyn, though, speaking in Saturday's edition of The Lion, insists Millwall are happy with their underdog tag at the weekend.
"There's some really big clubs in this League and a lot of them are spending good money," he says.
"It's a tough League and the standard is getting better and better every year. We want to compete with the top teams and I think we're showing that we can do that.
"We've come a long way in a relatively short period of time but we're happy to remain as the underdogs at the minute. People don't seem to be giving us a chance which is fine because it allows us to focus on getting results without that pressure."
