Full-time score from Loftus Road
Millwall U21s slipped to a second successive defeat with a narrow 2-1 loss in their Professional League 2 clash against QPR at Loftus Road on Monday night.
It took QPR barely 69 seconds to breech the Millwall defence courtesy of a precision finish from Eduardo Vargas.
It could have been 2-0 just before the half-hour mark when Vargas met a Michael Doughty cross, but saw his header tipped round the post by Denzel Gerrar in The Lions goal.
Rangers made a change at the break with goal-scorer Vargas replaced by Reece Cox, and it was a foul on the sub by Danny Shittu that enabled the home side to eased 2-0 ahead courtesy of Doughty's spot-kick conversion.
Just four minutes later it was The Lions who were awarded a penalty after Suk-Young was penalised for handball. Alfie Pavey kept his cool and thumped home from 12 yards to bring Millwall right back into the game.
Justin Hoyte's goalbound shot was deflected for a corner and Jake Goodman's looping header from a Kyren Farrell corner flashed over the bar as The Lions tried to conjure an equaliser late on.
The home side withstood a late flurry of corners from the visitors, but nearly grabbed a third on the break, only for Brandon Comley to fire narrowly wide after wriggling his way past two defenders in the penalty area.
