Angel Martinez became manager Ian Holloway's eighth signing of the summer when he penned a one-year deal with the club on Tuesday.
However the popular former Blackpool midfielder first had to undergo a strenuous medical with Lions physio Bobby Bacic and Head of Sports Science Warren Cock at the training ground after flying in from Spain in the morning.
