Keep our Ed's up

29 September 2014

Midfielder Upson looking for positive response

"We're all down but we must pick ourselves up because we've got a job to do," Ed said.

Whilst obviously delighted to score his first ever goal in a Millwall shirt, Ed's joy was dampened by the defeat - and now he is determined to play his part in helping the team get back to winning ways against Birmingham City at the Den on Tuesday night (7.45pm).

But having got back onto level terms, Ian Holloway's charges were unable to kick on and instead conceded a soft second-half penalty that Wells converted for what proved to be the winning goal.

Ed marked his first full start of the season with a splendid strike to cancel out Nahki Wells equally super opening strike for the Terriers.

Millwall midfielder Ed Upson experienced mixed emotions on Saturday as The Lions slipped to a third successive away defeat at Huddersfield Town. "We got a flyer at the start of the season and now we're in a dip. But it's all about sticking together and staying positive, as hard as that may be after a performance like that."
