Millwall Community Trust Football & Education Academy

Millwall Community Trust is recruiting for the 2014/15 academic year on the following programmes:

The Millwall Community Trust Development Academy – the academy is open to students aged between 16 – 18 years, the Academy Programme is a must for any football enthusiast and combines the provision of football excellence with a two-year full-time education programme. Players will study the Diploma in Sport, delivered at Level 2 and 3 standard (A-Level equivalence), FA Coaching Qualifications together with core skills in Maths and English.
To be considered for this course, candidates will need to display a commitment to fulfilling the academic element of the programme. There are no minimum Grade requirements.Entry Requirements:

The Millwall Football & Education Scholarship – an opportunity for talented 16 -18 year old football players, both male and female, to pursue a 2 year Football & Education Scholarship. Learners will study a BTEC Extended Diploma in Sport (Equivalent to 3 A Levels). 

Entry Requirements: To be considered for this course, as a minimum you will need 5 GCSE's, or equivalent at C grade and above. Preferably this will include English and Maths, although pathways are available to those that just miss out on that all important C Grade in these core subjects.

Learners on both programmes will have the opportunity to enhance and develop their technical and tactical knowledge through an extensive football development and education programme, which will be supplemented by a weekly competitive games programme. It is the MCT's aim to effectively support the development of each player by providing them with a learning environment that holistically supports their development and allows them to maximise their potential and maintain their involvement in the game at the highest level possible.
