Millwall raise £25,000 for Prostate Cancer UK

20 October 2014

Charity are 'overwhelmed' by generosity of Lions fans

"What has been particularly special about our partnership with Millwall has been the branding worn by the players on their shirts last season and around the stadium, Ollie wearing our 'Man of Men' badge and all the fantastic publicity we've received through media coverage and the charity awards we've won.

"Millwall fans and staff took part in quizzes, marathons, cycle rides from London to Amsterdam as well as giving very generously at the ticket office and bucket collections.

"I was absolutely delighted to accept the cheque from Millwall FC; the fund-raising efforts by everyone at the club has been amazing," said Mark.

During the 2013/14 season the club worked closely with Prostate Cancer UK both on and off the pitch, and Saturday's cheque presentation was the incredible total raised by both staff and supporters at The Den.

Prostate Cancer UK's Director of Fundraising Mark Bishop has praised the 'amazing' generosity and support of Millwall FC after Lions CEO Andy Ambler presented a £25,000 cheque to the charity before Saturday's game with Wolves.

"None of this would have been possible without your help and support and we are so grateful. The continued generosity of Lions fans has helped us help more men with the disease and invest in research to make a real difference." for further information.www.prostatecanceruk.org0800 074 8383 or visit
