Martyn eyes Rovers return
"We are worlds apart from where we were last season," said Martyn, "We are a million miles away from where we were last year confidence-wise.Although The Hornets went on to take all three points in controversial circumstances, there was plenty to feel encouraged by from Millwall's display.
Midfielder Martyn, whose winning goal on the final day last season secured The Lions' Championship status, took his season's tally to two with the opening strike at Vicarage Road.
Martyn Woolford refused to be downbeat following Saturday's frustrating 3-1 defeat at table-topping Watford and believes that Millwall are very much on the right track this season.
"Even though we came away from Watford with a defeat we will still take some positives from the game. At the minute we are playing well. We have had some good results against pretty good teams of late so we need to keep our heads up and not let a defeat like this get us down.
"It was disappointing that the result went against us; we conceded three sloppy goals and that's cost us but we are pleased with the performance.
