Goodman in AFC Wimbledon loan deal

27 November 2014

Defender Jake makes emergency move

Defender Jake Goodman has this afternoon completed an emergency loan move to League Two side AFC Wimbledon until 6th January 2015.

Jake, 21, who can operate at right-back or centre half, has previously enjoyed successful loan spells at Luton Town and most recently, Aldershot Town for whom he made 20 appearances and scored one goal.

The towering defender has been on the fringes of The Lions first team squad this season without making a senior appearance, but has featured regularly for Neil Harris' U21s.

AFC Wimbledon are managed by former Millwall midfielder Neal Ardley and Jake will link up with a trio of former Lions players - Andy Frampton, Jack Smith and Adebayo Akenfenwa - who are all plying their trade at Kingsmeadow.

Jake is expected to go straight into the Dons squad for Saturday's home League game against Cambridge United. In keeping with fellow young Lions prospect Fred Onyedinma who joined Wycombe on a youth loan today, Jake has not been given permission to play in the FA Cup.
