Cole commits to Millwall Lionesses

27 November 2014

Defender Naomi pens a new one-year contract

Following the confirmation of Dan Mlinar as new first team manager, Millwall Lionesses are delighted to announce that influential defender Naomi Cole will be staying with the club for the 2015 FA WSL season.
An England Under-23 international and World University Games champion with Great Britain, Naomi was a mainstay of the Lionesses defence in 2014, missing just one game all season through suspension.

She also finished the season as joint top scorer for Millwall, scoring four times. Amazingly all four of those goals were scored from the penalty spot, leaving Naomi with a lethal per cent record for spot-kicks during the campaign.

Cole re-joined the Lionesses from Chelsea Ladies prior to their debut season in the FA WSL, having previously enjoyed a successful loan spell with the club in 2010/11.

Primarily a right-back, Naomi comfortably made the switch to centre-half for much of this season and also skippered the team following the mid-season injury to club captain Dionne Lennon.
