What the papers say
Lions manager Ian Holloway has a regular column in the Sunday Mirror newspaper, and although the Championship season is now over, Ollie still has plenty to say in his latest weekly piece:
It's been a wonderful week for Millwall Football Club.
First, we saved our own Championship lives by beating Bournemouth. And now we have won a merit award from the Football League for giving families a fantastic match-day experience.
I have been at the New (sic) Den since January and the supporters have been absolutely fantastic to me, my players and the staff.
The atmosphere inside The Den last week was electric - and played a massive part in us getting the result we needed. It just goes to show how wild and inaccurate some perceptions can be.
Millwall's fans have a certain reputation. But there are people at the club, like chief executive Andy Ambler, who have worked tirelessly to repair the public image.
The award shows that work has been rewarded.
Now, it is my job to build a team to give our fans even more to shout about.
I have loved every minute of my time here. Chairman John Berylson has made me feel at home and we spent three days together talking about how to move the club forward.
I'm really looking forward to next season.
