Robbo calls for 'passion and determination'

Defender hopes for a home win to end the season on a high

Paul Robinson wants Millwall to play with the 'passion and determination' that Lions fans can be proud of against Bournemouth on Saturday (12.15pm).

Ian Holloway's men know three points against The Cherries on the final day of the season would secure Championship safety and Robbo, speaking in his programme notes for the game, has called on the team to produce a performance that gets the fans on their feet.

"Away from home our results have been extremely encouraging, but we've been frustrated that our performances here at The Den have not transferred into more wins," he says in The Lion. "Hopefully, though, we can end the season with a home victory that has been a long time coming.

"I've no doubt that there will be a bumper crowd to support us and we are aware of the difference that you (the supporters) can make when you are on song."

He added: "Our performance has got to be right to encourage that, though, so from the first whistle we have to put Bournemouth on the back foot and play with the passion and determination that you can be proud of."

There's much more from Robbo in Saturday's Lion, which will be available around the ground for just £3 as usual. You can also download onto your phone, tablet or PC from 9am on matchday. Find out how here
