Lioness Perry selected for World Cup qualifier
Millwall Lionesses' Sophie Perry has been included in the Republic of Ireland squad for tonight's vital 2015 World Cup qualifier against Russia at the Tallaght Stadium in Dublin (7.30pm).
Ireland are currently third in their qualifying group, just two points behind Russia and will be looking for a win tonight to move into the Group 1 Play-Off position.
Defender Perry and her team-mates will be hoping to qualify for the 2015 World Cup in Canada and if they are successful it will be the first time the Republic of Ireland has ever reached the final stages of the tournament.
Meanwhile fellow Lioness Lillie Billson has also had an International call -up to represent the Republic of Ireland this Saturday in a friendly against the Basque Country.
Billson has already represented Ireland at U19 level and will be hoping to impress Ireland boss Sue Ronan, who will be keeping a close eye on the young Millwall player as well as Watford striker Emma Beckett.
Ronan said: "They are both playing in England and this is an ideal opportunity to bring them in, have a look at them and introduce them to the senior set-up.
"We are always looking to strengthen the squad and hopefully they will give us additional options."
