Late goal secures win
Millwall U18s 0 Barnsley U18s 1
Millwall were hit by a classic smash and grab raid as Barnsley nicked a late winner by Ambrose Gnahore.
Both defences stood firm in the first-half and clear cut chances were limited.
The nearest Justin Skinner's charges came to scoring followed a neat passage of play on the right flank involving Mikael Ndjoli, James Brown and James Fitzgerald. The ball was eventually played through to frontman Lewis White, but he was thwarted by Barnsley keeper Chadderton as he shaped to shoot.
The second period shaped up in a similar fashion to the first with plenty of effort and endeavour, but no end product.
With time ticking away and the match heading for a goal-less draw, Tykes sub Gnahore stabbed home an 85th-minute winner past Lions keeper Max Goodman to secure victory for the visitors.
