'We need to go on a run'
Steve Morison took his season's tally to six with the decisive goal in Saturday's 1-0 win at Derby County - and now The Lions hitman hopes his team can kick on in the remaining 12 games and secure their precious Championship status.
Millwall head to boss Ollie's former club Blackpool on Tuesday night, and the Tangerines are in free-fall having failed to record a single win in their last 17 starts.
But striker Steve is concerned only with his team, stating: "We need to go on a run. We need to go on a four, five unbeaten run and that will shoot us up the table.
"In this league it's like; Millwall aren't beating Derby, Barnsley aren’t beating Forest but they have so that just shows there’s a lot of fight down there and we're working hard to be in the Championship next year.
"We've got a good, happy squad and a manager who believes in us and a manager we believe in.
"If we keep putting the performances in like we did at Derby then results will turn.
"The way the manager works and treats us is why we've been doing okay and not too worried about it. He's happy, we're happy and we’re enjoying working."
For manager Ollie is promises to be an emotional return to Blackpool, who he will be revisiting for only the second time since leaving the club in 2012.
"He's going to get a bit of stick," Steve added. "I wouldn't say he’s got big enough shoulders because he's only little but I'm sure he'll do okay."
