Recognition for Football v Homophobia initiative

Millwall and Brighton & Hove Albion received credit for their support of the Football v. Homophobia campaign at The Den on Saturday.

Millwall skipper Danny Shittu stated: "As a club we have been at the forefront of fighting other kinds of discrimination and I'm pleased that we are able to play a part in the campaign against homophobia."

Both sets of players warmed up in the official Football v. Homophobia t-shirts, and for their part The Lions produced features supporting the initiative in the match programme and official website, in addition to a video that appeared on Youtube.

The latter was remarked upon by TV star Matt Lucas, who tweeted "Massive respect and gratitude to Millwall."

The video has now had approaching 1,000 views, but if you haven't seen it you can watch it below now.
