Lions duo head for Holland
Millwall club photographer Brian Tonks and programme editor Billy Taylor were up at the crack of dawn today to join around 160 willing participants in this weekend's London to Amsterdam Cycle Challenge to raise money and awareness for Prostate Cancer UK
The cyclists, largely made up of staff members and fans from Football League clubs across the country along with ex-professionals including Luther Blissett and Micky Adams, headed off from Leyton Orient's Matchroom Stadium at 7am this morning and expect to finish in the centre of Amsterdam on Saturday.
As well as being Millwall's principal partner throughout the 2013/14 season, Prostate Cancer UK
is also the Football League's chosen charity, and this year's cycle event promises to generate significant funds for the work they do in raising awareness for the disease.
The route is a total of 150 miles, with Brian and Billy needing to cycle 96 miles by this evening in order to catch their overnight ferry from Harwich to Holland.
The duo have already raised over £2,000 but there is still plenty of time to donate. To show your support, visit Brian's donation page here
