Former Yeovil pair to be team-mates once moreEd Upson believes Millwall have recruited a top quality defender in Byron Webster.
Webster, 27, became Ian Holloway's third summer signing on Tuesday morning, putting pen-to-paper on a two-year deal starting from July 1st when his contract at Yeovil Town expires.
Upson himself made the switch from Huish Park to The Den just six months ago and the midfielder can't wait to link up with his former team-mate in Millwall colours.
"Like I did with Liam Trotter before I came, Byron was asking me a few questions about the club and what it is like," Upson told millwallfc.co.uk
"I'm enjoying my time here so had nothing but good words, though ultimately it was what the gaffer said that persuaded him to join the club.
"I'm excited to be playing alongside him again. Byron has a lot of ability and is one of those defenders who is good on and off the ball. He can do a lot with it at his feet."
Upson added: "He's a big lad so brings an added physical presence into the defence, where there is some really good competition for places.
"He's not all about size, either. I think he's a skilful player with great technique for a defender.
"Byron's a leader, too, and can score goals like he did for Yeovil. Hopefully he can continue that for Millwall."
