Winger pens new two year deal
Ian Holloway has another important piece of his jigsaw in place after Lee Martin put pen to paper on a new two year contract at The Den on Tuesday morning.
Lee played a vital role in that dramatic run-in towards the end of last season which saw The Lions avoid relegation following an eight match unbeaten run, scoring a tremendous goal in the 2-1 win at Forest.
He was forced to sit out the nail-biting final game against Bournemouth after picking up an injury at QPR, but the manager is in no doubt that Martin will prove a real asset again next season.
He said: "I saw signs towards the end of last season that Lee could become the player Manchester United thought he might be. I'm looking forward to working with him again next season because I think we will see even more from him.
Lee repaid the compliment saying: "I knew as soon as Ian Holloway came here that we would be moving in the right direction and he is certainly the manager who can get the best out of me."
Lee Martin follows David Forde in agreeing a new contract at Millwall this summer, and with the addition to the squad of Carlos Edwards and Lee Gregory already, things are beginning to take shape nicely ahead of pre-season training next week.
