Club proud of charity work
Tickets For Troops and Millwall FC are delighted to announce that we will once again support the initiative donating tickets for home fixtures at The Den this season.
The military charity Tickets For Troops, which provides free tickets for sporting, musical and theatrical events to members of the Armed Forces, has had a longstanding partnership with the Football League since the charity was established in five years ago. They recently distributed their 500,000th ticket when England played Peru at Wembley Stadium.
Millwall donated tickets for every home Championship game during the 2013-14 season and Lions CEO Andy Ambler confirmed: "We are delighted to extend our support to Tickets For Troops again. Our Armed Forces do amazing work for which we all remain very grateful.
"As a club we are very proud of the extensive charity work we do and are pleased to continue our longstanding, close relationship with the Armed Forces and Tickets For Troops."
Lord Marland, Chairman of Tickets For Troops, added: "To have reached the fantastic milestone of 500,000 donated tickets in such a short time is an achievement that all of us are very proud of, but it would not have been possible without the very generous support of the many organisations, sports clubs, governing bodies, theatres and other venues and many, many individuals.
"We would like to take this opportunity to wish The FA, Manager Roy Hodgson and Captain Steven Gerrard - one of our Patrons - all the best for Brazil and Tickets For Troops will be supporting them all the way."
As a thankyou to all their supporters Tickets For Troops have sent a special video which you can watch here:
