Support Tobi's charity this Saturday
The Heart4More Foundation in partnership with Erith School and Kick it Out will be hosting a special Bexley Borough Schools U15s seven-a-side football tournament this Saturday 28th June.
Tobi Alabi founded Heart4More in February this year following his ongoing #LetsChangeTheGame campaign that started last November, barely a month after the former Lions striker was forced to quit the game with a heart condition aged just 19.
With over 50 footballers dying in the past 10 years due to heart-related issues, the Heart4More Foundation aims to make it mandatory for all professional footballers to be screened on a yearly basis, as well as giving players education on heart conditions and symptoms to look out for.
Tobi, who received the Millwall Supporters Club Special Award this season, said: "It promises to be a fun day for all the family with various health stalls and attractions, including the football tournament.
"I know that there are a lot of Millwall fans living in Bexley and it would be great to see lots of them come along on the day to show their support for the Foundation."
The event this Saturday 28th June, which hopes to raise both awareness of heart conditions and funds for a community defibrilator, will be held at Erith Secondary School, Avenue Road, Erith, Kent DA8 3BN. The fun kicks off at 10am and runs through until 4pm.
