Forde signs new deal at The Den

Goalkeeper pens three-year contract

Millwall number one David Forde has pledged his future to the club by signing a new three-year contract at The Den.

His current deal was set to expire at the end of this month, but Forde, who has been at the club since 2008, has committed himself to Ian Holloway's side up to the end of the 2016/17 season.

Forde was voted the club's Player of the Year at the end of the last campaign, and his form between the sticks for The Lions over the last few seasons has seen him consolidate his position as the Republic of Ireland's number one.

The Galway-born keeper has so far made 279 appearances for Millwall, but now looks set to surpass the 300 mark during the upcoming 2014/15 campaign.
