First-team coach

9 June 2014

Marc Bircham

Marc Bircham re-joined Millwall as the first member of Ian Holloway’s new backroom team in January 2014.

He moved back to The Den from QPR - where he had worked in the Loftus Road club’s Academy set-up since the 2009/10 season - to link up with Ollie, a man who managed him at Rangers between 2002 and 2006 when Marc was a player there.

The 35-year-old began his career at Millwall, working his way up through the youth ranks before making his first team debut in a 3-2 win over Preston North End at The Den in January 1997, then aged just 18.

He remained at The Den until 2002, and after 121 appearances for The Lions, moved to Loftus Road where he enjoyed a successful five-year spell before ending his career at Yeovil Town and making his first moves into coaching.
