Boss eyes further additions

With three sessions a day on the lush playing fields of Millwall's Algarve training complex followed by discussion groups in the evening, you would be forgiven for thinking Ian Holloway's quest to add to his squad is currently on hold.

But the Lions boss has already identified certain targets that are currently being pursued, and he has other plans should they not ultimately come to fruition.

"We are looking at our options, particularly a couple of strikers and a utility player and we're already on the case in those areas," he told millwallfc.co.uk

"It would be lovely if we could get those particular positions filled quickly so we can then just focus on our preparation for the season, but if things don't work out that way I'm prepared to wait and see who becomes available via the loan market if needs be.

"I'm pleased with what we've got in most areas, but it is clear what we still need and we will fill those gaps one way or another. I'm in no mad rush, though."
