But defender avoids surgery on fractured metatarsal
Millwall physio Bobby Bacic has this afternoon confirmed that defender Sid Nelson will be sidelined for up to two months with a fractured metatarsal.
The good news for the 18-year-old, however, is that he will not require surgery on the injury sustained playing in a game at Billericay last Saturday.
"Sid saw a specialist today and will remain in a protective boot for the meantime," Bobby told millwallfc.co.uk
"The better news for Sid is that the fracture is not a full metatarsal fracture, so there will be no operation required.
"Realistically we are pencilling in a return to action within two months. However, he will need to be re-assessed and re-scanned on a regular basis to monitor his progress and recovery."
