Skipper says Lions must make the most of Den openerClub captain Paul Robinson believes The Lions couldn't have asked for a more exciting start to the season.
Leeds United visit The Den on Saturday 9th August in the opening round of fixtures before Ian Holloway's men travel across London to face Fulham a week later.
And Robbo, speaking to Lions Player, believes it is time that The Den was turned back into a fortress, starting with that season opener against The Whites.
"It's always one to get the pulses racing no matter what stage of the season," he said. "The adrenaline is that little bit higher and there's optimism.
"Everybody is coming back and will have missed their football over the summer, especially with the way the World Cup has gone. They (the fans) will be looking forward to getting down to The Den and watching some football.
"Good teams win their home games and make their grounds a fortress and a hard place for other teams to come. Being at home first up gives us a great opportunity to start the season off on the front foot and that's what we'll be looking to do.
"It's a great game and we're backing it up with a local derby against Fulham as well a week after. They are two great games to focus the mind and get us through this hard work that's coming up."
