Out to impress

15 July 2014

Trialists and youngsters in squad at Dartford

Lions boss Ian Holloway will cast an eye over former Everton winger/midfielder Magaye Gueye (24) and ex-Fulham defender Matthew Briggs (23) on Tuesday night, with both being included in a 26 man squad for the pre-season friendly at Dartford.

Gueye scored once for the Toffees in 24 appearances, having signed a five year deal following a move from Strasbourg, while Briggs has been on Fulham's books since a schoolboy and played twice for them in the Premier League last season.

Ollie, who is set to name a different XI in each half, takes a strong squad to Princes Park, including new signings Byron Webster and Lee Gregory.

The manager has stated that he wants to see a number of Millwall's home grown youngsters becoming integrated into the first team picture this season and to that end John Marquis, Sid Nelson, Aiden O'Brien, Fred Onyedinma and Jack Powell are given an early chance to impress.
