Stevenage next up for Ollie's Lions

Millwall follow up their pre-season opener at Dartford on Tuesday night with a short trip to Stevenage this Saturday (3pm).

Lions boss Ian Holloway spoke of his satisfaction at the level of effort and endeavour shown by his squad as Jermaine Easter's solitary strike secured a 1-0 win against The Darts, and will be looking for his players to get another good work-out at Broadhall Way this weekend.

Speaking to Lions Player Ollie said: "The endeavour was there and it's always nice to get the first pre-season game out of the way. At this stage it's all about getting that base fitness level up so we're ready for the start of the Championship.

"I thought Dartford were excellent, they worked really hard. They'd had a couple of games already and kept pretty much the same team whereas I put out two different teams. It's always really difficult because the games like this don't tell the story of the work that has gone on behind them.

"We will get better, games like this are all just a part of our preparations."
