Injury update on Nelson, Marquis & Hoyte

30 July 2014

Latest on a trio of Lions players

Millwall's promising young defender Sid Nelson will see a specialist on Thursday to determine the extent of the damage to his fractured metatarsal.

Lions physio Bobby Bacic told millwallfc.co.uk "Sid has a fracture in the fifth metatarsal of his left foot he sustained in the pre-season game at Billericay last Saturday. He will see a specialist tomorrow and then undergo a series of scans and investigations.

"It is only after these are completed that we will be able to give a more detailed forecast and time-scale for Sid's recovery."

There is better news on the injury front for striker John Marquis (ankle) and Justin Hoyte (hamstring), however, with Bobby adding: "They are both rehabbing well and looking to be fit for the start of the season."
