Trotter moves to Bolton

31 January 2014

Midfielder joins The Trotters in loan deal

Liam Trotter has joined Bolton Wanderers on loan until the end of the season, with a view to a permanent deal in the summer.

The midfielder becomes the second departure on transfer deadline day after Andy Keogh's loan switch to Blackpool.

Trotter, 25, has made 19 appearances for The Lions this season, scoring three goals. He has been at The Den since June 2010 when he signed from Ipswich Town on a permanent basis following two successful earlier loan spells from Portman Road.

In total, the midfielder has made 165 appearances for Millwall, scoring 25 goals, the last of which was a penalty in October's 1-1 draw with Reading.

Trotter will hope to be involved for Dougie Freedman's side in their trip to his former club Ipswich tomorrow, but will be ineligible to face The Lions when Bolton visit The Den in two weeks' time.
