Lions v Owls down the years

Tuesday night's fixture will mark the 42nd occasion Millwall have played Sheffield Wednesday. The Lions and Owls have both won 13 times in 35 of the previous League meetings with nine games finishing all-square.

Wednesday hold the upper hand in Cup competitions, recording two victories in the FA Cup with two fixtures drawn whilst both teams have recorded one win each in the League Cup.

Overall, The Owls have a slight edge with 16 victories to Millwall's 14 and 11 matches have been drawn. Four of those successes have come in the last five encounters.

Millwall's last win against Wednesday came back in September 2005 when goals from Barry Hayles and Carl Asaba clinched a 2-1 victory at Hillsborough. Graham Coughlan was on target for the home side that day.
