Lions head to sunnier climes
Ian Holloway will be heading to the warmer climes of Portugal with his squad for five days warm weather training next week in a bid to increase fitness levels.
The Lions face a blank weekend on Saturday 25th January as their scheduled match at Yeovil Town has been put back due to The Glovers continued interest in the FA Cup.
Now Ollie intends to use the time as an opportunity to not only get to know his players better, but also implement his ideas and strategy going forward.
Speaking to talkSPORT radio this afternoon coach Marc Bircham said: "The timing of the break is perfect really; this is going to be like a mini pre-season because it gives us extra contact time to get across our philosophy so that they can understand us and we can understand them.
With the weather and hours of daylight we will be able to get in more work, so it should be a really useful time together."
