Midfielder thrilled at Den move

Ed Upson says he can't wait to meet his new team-mates after putting pen-to-paper on a two-and-a-half-year deal at The Den on Friday evening.

The midfielder, 24, joins Ian Holloway's side from Yeovil Town, and will train for the first time on Monday after watching his new club take on Reading on Saturday.

"I can't even describe how I'm feeling right now," he said. "I'm delighted and I just want to get playing and hopefully do some good things for the team. I'm ready for this new challenge.

"I like to be creative, attacking and box-to-box. I'm here to play my football and hopefully I can impress the fans and get them on side because that's important."

Ed also spoke to about playing under manager Ollie, adding: "Everybody knows his calibre as a manager and as a person too. I've still got to meet the lads and it's really exciting for me. I spoke to Liam (Trotter) earlier and he had glowing reports for the club."
