Williams ready for busy schedule

Midfielder says Millwall must make the most of home games in March

January signing Shaun Williams has stressed that he and his team-mates must make home advantage count in March with four Den games coming up over the next month.

The 27-year-old is yet to taste victory in a Lions shirt with Ian Holloway's men winless in six games, but Williams believes the squad have it in them to pull away from the drop zone between now and the end of the season.

"Everybody is desperate to turn things around," he says in Saturday's edition of The Lion.

"We are all buying into what the gaffer is trying to teach us at the moment and we all believe that we can start picking up results. Performances have been OK in some games but we have to start earning more victories.

"Playing at home (on Saturday) will be a big advantage for us with the atmosphere that the fans can create. Hopefully we can disrupt Brighton's style of play, which won't be any different to what it always is in terms of trying to keep the ball and be attacking.

"Hopefully, though, here at The Den, we can put in a good performance and get the result to go with it. We need to pick up a couple of wins from the home games we have this month and make the most of the weekends where teams are around us are playing away, which is that much harder to do."

You can hear much more from Williams in the weekend's edition of The Lion, available to buy around the ground for just £3 and to download from 9am on matchday.
