Treatment room latest

Bobby Bacic on Bailey's back

Lions physio Bobby Bacic reports that the injury situation in general is looking up, but Nicky Bailey is set to be sidelined for a while longer.

"The treatment room is relatively quiet at present.

We did pick up a few bumps and bruises after the Bolton match and the previous two away games in the week. However, none of these were serious and we are also pleased to report Mark Beevers (calf) has returned to full training.

This leaves only Nicky Bailey in the treatment room with his back complaint. He has a second appointment with the surgeon who will perform  CT guided injections into the lower back.

The problem area is small but extremely painful which is frustrating for Nicky as we are limiting his activities to swimming only at present as we do not want to stir the back up and potentially cause a long term problem.

The time frame given by the surgeon is to allow healing to occur over the next month, so regrettably Nicky will not be available for the fixtures in March".
