Super Leaguers to play home games on hallowed turf
Having gained promotion to the FA Women’s Super League 2, Millwall Lionesses will be playing their home league matches at The Den next season, thanks to the support of Millwall Football Club.
First team manager Alberto Kurti expressed his excitement about the upcoming season, saying:
"The Lionesses and the management can’t wait for the season to begin, the buzz about the squad is immense.
Now with the extra bonus of playing our home games at The Den, the excitement has increased.
When we played Reading Ladies at the Den last season, the atmosphere was phenomenal, and to be able to play every game there is a dream come true for our young players.
We would like to express our thanks to the club for all their support of the Lionesses and we look forward to kicking-off the new era at The Den"
Fixtures for the Women’s Super League are still awaiting release from the FA, with the Lionesses kicking off their league season on April 16th.
Season tickets are also due to go on sale this week with the launch of the Lionesses new FA website.
