Lions physio Bacic provides the latest newsMillwall physio Bobby Bacic says David Forde, who has been nominated for the Senior International Player of the Year gong at Sunday's annual FAI Football Awards ceremony, will return to training later this week following a finger injury in Saturday's 1-0 defeat to Barnsley.
Forde suffered the knock late on in the game at Oakwell, and Bacic has told millwallfc.co.uk about the extent of the keeper's injury.
"David dislocated his little finger performing a save during the second-half," he said.
"Luckily he managed to remain very calm and allow the finger to be relocated on the pitch, which is a very painful procedure. In a way it adds further insult to injury as it is just as painful as the original force needed to dislocate the finger in the first place."
Bobby has also confirmed that Nicky Bailey will see a surgeon again this week about his ongoing back problem.
"Nicky is doing pool work to retain his fitness whilst he recovers from the back injury," he said. "The injections he had last week have helped calm the pain down and Nicky will have a review with the surgeon this week to check on his progress."
