Physio Bobby provides with the latest news

Millwall physio Bobby Bacic says David Forde and Danny Shittu are making 'good progress' from respective thigh and groin injuries.

The pair both missed Saturday's defeat at Burnley, along with Nicky Bailey and Mark Beevers, but Bobby, speaking to, says they are all 'short-term' injuries.

"Fordey is recovering well from his right quad muscle strain that he picked up against Ipswich," he said.

"The rehab for a goalkeeper is slightly different to that of an outfield player when they injure their quad as it is based more on kicking and jumping than running, although all areas are covered.

"A keeper usually kicks over 40 times in a match, and in more extreme cases can do so 80 times or beyond, with the majority being full-force long distance kicks over the halfway line.

"Fordey is one of four players in the treatment room with short-term injuries. Danny injured a groin muscle against Reading but, like Fordey, is making good progress.

"Mark has a minor calf complaint and Nicky has a back problem after heavily jarring it. We are looking to increase his loading this week in the pool."
