Double strike sinks Millwall
Goals from Will Grigg and Stuart Dallas saw Millwall's U21s slip to a 2-0 Development League defeat at Brentford on Tuesday afternoon.
The Lions included a quartet of senior players, including defender Mark Beevers who is stepping up his fitness following a spell sidelined with a calf injury.
Lions coach Neil Harris thought it was a useful run-out for the senior players but was disappointed that his side couldn't rally after falling a goal behind.
He said: "It was a hard-working closely fought game overall with good passages of play from both sides at times.
What we lacked was a cutting edge in the final third and after conceding from a corner just before half-time we didn't really put enough pressure on Brentford.
We were still in the game until we got caught on the counter-attack 10 minutes from the end but it wasn't our best display of the season.
One pleasing aspect, though, was the performance of Aidan O'Brien on his return from a loan spell at Torquay."
