"The best £250,000 I've ever spent," says manager Ollie
Ian Holloway heaped praise on Lee Gregory after the striker's first-half goal helped Millwall to a hard-earned 1-0 win over Brighton.
Gregory struck his fourth goal of the season in the 15th-minute to give Millwall a lead that the home side rarely looked like threatening.
Manager Holloway was delighted with the striker's contribution, and also lauded the performance of Man of the Match Danny Shittu.
"Lee Gregory is the best £250,000 I've ever spent," Ollie said. "He did what Lee Gregory does.
"I'm so proud of him and I'm really pleased not just with his goal, but with the way he played for us up front.
"Danny (Shittu) was absolutely magnificent, he really was. He came in and made a big difference for us at the back.
"We've proved that we can win by getting back to the things we're good at. It's a fantastic victory for us.
"Last week was a one-off and the lads have shown all sorts of character to respond in that fashion. This isn't an easy place to come.
"But let's just get on with it now. I want us to focus now on trying to get a win at home, because two results on the bounce would be big for us. The team have done me proud tonight we need to build on it."
Ollie handed Spanish midfielder Angel a debut and the 28-year-old impressed alongside Shaun Williams.
"Angel has had to catch up a bit and he was unlucky with the injury he picked up. It was a 13cm tear in his calf.
"But he has been working hard and hopefully he can be a really good player for us now. He has played over 100 games in La Liga, and who could have said that out there tonight? I'm pleased for him."
